Physical Internet X Digital Freight Matching

Updated: May 28, 2020

1.) Addressing the issue of logistics arising due to the poor infrastructure in developing countries, this solution will aim to create a platform, something inspired from the “Uberisation of freight”.

2.) Single platform will serve to both the shippers and the carriers. This will act as the interface between both the stakeholders, acting as a smart and convenient platform. Shippers will be able to manage all their shipments.

3.) Locating the available trucks across (Eg: Bangladesh) without any requirement of making multiple contacts or calls and to be able to manage and monitor the shipments at every mile. Platform to connect you with the most suitable fleet operator at any given out of time depending on the source, destination, material to be shipped and all other details.

4.) Similar to ridesharing ratings, users would rate their consignments once it is finished to maintain the continuous improvement as well as confidence into the system. The platform will have the UI as shown, matching the shippers with the carriers.

Book your truck with pods

Utilizing the platform for finding the appropriate logistics provider. Stating the requirements such as no. of pods and the weight of the load, which would serve as the basis of freight pricing

Choose options based on available pods and book your truck

Having multiple service providers, choosing the most appropriate logistics, reviewing the ratings on the platform. The Numbers on the trailer show the available capacity for empty pods

Track your shipment

Real time tracking of the logistics fleet and therefore increasing the supply chain visibility

Recursive feedback to ensure trust into the system

Rating the service provider and therefore making the platform more convenient and informative for future users.
